New Units! 7th grade -Indoor Soccer/Volleyball
We have started our final units for the year - Volleyball and Indoor Soccer - both are a short four days each as we are displaced for May Day for a bit. We completed the Volleyball unit - which was quick and fun - and are taking a short break while May Day is going on. Therefore, we are in the Gymnastics room doing stations such as Rock Wall, Climbing Net, Pyramids, Bars, Beam, Floor, and Jump Rope. The girls are having a blast and will do a digital camera scavenger hunt next week. Then, we will go back to Indoor Soccer and finish the year with some fun game days! Wow, it sure goes fast!
New Units!! 6th grade - Handball/Gymnastics
Well as the school year begins to wind down, the girls are having a blast learning the game of handball. They also played Wallyball - indoor volleyball, and now are moving into gymnastics for some basic tumbling. We have learned the floor exercises and will be learning the beam, bars and vault next week. It is a great unit and the girls enjoy exploring the different apparatus in the gymnastics room.

7th grade Synchronized Swimming!
Well, they did it! The girls have completed (one group will go after Spring Break) their Synchro routines...they enjoyed the collaboration and group work very much. The routines were excellent and demonstrated the skills they learned. Video to come soon....
6th grade Water Polo!
We ended the unit (although we have ONE more fun day after Spring Break) with a Water Polo game! It was Orange against Blue with Aquajoggers and it was a blast! The girls enjoyed this brief, one day, fun activity. More Water Polo to come in 8th grade!
6th grade Swim Meet!
We have completed our swim unit with a simulated Swim Meet! We had the 25 free, 25 back, 25 breast, 50 free, and 50 breast.. each girl swam in two events. We learned how to read heat sheets, how to read the order of events, how to wear a cap and goggles and how to time each other. It was a very fun and successful day! Great job girls!
